Selfies and shutterbug websites

The official definition of a Selfie is 'a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically taken with a smartphone or webcam and shared via social media.'

Self portraits are said to convey art or a message. Rather than just capturing a moment in time like a selfie, a self portrait is to capture a whole scene and its mood described by the artist or photographer.
I prefer a self portrait because of what it means. A self portrait has more meaning and action capture in a photograph. I feel that a selfie is an unprofessional attempt of a self portrait.

I believe that self portraits are more valuable than selfies because they provide a message rather just a face to look at. Self portraits provide something to read in the picture, you get a chance to really interpret what the photographer was trying to convey in the photograph.

Shutterbug websites

DIY Photography:
DIY Photography's intent is to share and spread news, stories, interviews, and articles about photography. They write about unique photographers, for example this title from a article written on January 14, 2020 "This Photographer Took A Selfie Everyday For 20 Years To Make This 8-Minute Time-lapse. An average view could learn or view multiple new things regarding photography. I wouldn't add this website to my bookmarks because the website isn't pleasing for me to click around.
I would recommend this website to people who are interested in unique photography.  I rate this website a 3 because I enjoy what they share but I dislike the look and feel of the website.

Phobia Project

1. A phobia is having an extreme fear of something.

2. Apiphobia  is the fear of bees.
Automysophobia is the fear of being dirty.
Hypsiphobia is the fear of height.
Russophobia is the fear of Russians.
Verminophobia is the fear of germs.

3.
As a possible photo shoot for Phobias I was thinking Zoophobia, the fear of animals, because it is something I can easily do. I have multiple dogs and brothers in my house to use as props.  I would shoot it Horizontal to make sure I can get my dog in it. I would take the photo behind the dog looking at my frighten brother who is infant of the dog.The lighting in the scene would be dimmed to cause a dramatic mood. My little brother would be wearing grade school cloths on to make him look younger.

As another possible photo shoot I would do Hypsiphobia, the fear of heights, because I feel like I can compose an image that represents this fear well. I would do this on a building downtown with one of my friends most likely during the day because of exposure, but doing it at night may contribute more to the mood. I want my subject to my friends emotions to being that high up.

Another phobia I am going to use for this project is Traumatophobia, the fear of injury. I was thinking I could have one of my friends do the motion of a high five and my other friend flinching showing he is scared of being hit. I was think of doing this outside during the day to show the mood. of the high five.

I would like to use the rule of thirds, lines, symmetry in this project.

Best of 2019

1) I think ZEZE by Kodak black was the best song of 2019. I think this because I remember when this song came out me and all my friends were instantly listing to it all the time. Even by the end of the year we were still listening to it.

2) I thought The Irishman was the best movie of the year. I've always been into the mob scene and this movie is only about the mob. I honestly chose this movie because it was the only one I saw on the list.

3) I think one of the biggest news stories of the year is the Notre Dame Cathedral. I think this because the Cathedral is one of those places that you can feel the history of the building as soon as you walk in and for this to be destroyed by a fire is extremely sad.Image result for notre dame

4) I think the most important people of the year are the Hong Kong protesters because they have been fighting for obvious rights that won't be given to them. Image result for hong kong protesters

My Holiday: During my holiday I woke up everyday at about 8 o'clock and immideatly went to house park skate park downtown.
My 2020 resolution is to put out another video with my VX2000 that is better than my last.
Im looking forward to  summer in 2020.

BEst photos 2019

A security guard and a man run for cover as bullets ricochet off the Earle Cabell Federal Building as a shooter (at left, far background) fires towards them in Dallas on June 17. I liked this photo because of how surreal the situation seamed, and to be able to capture this photo in that situation is real courage.
I liked this photo because of the emotion that is present. The photographer was able to capture the pain of the girl extremely well.
I liked this photo because of the dog. I like how you can see a relationship between the man and the dog.
